We’re turning things around over here …
After some much needed soul searching, long walks + conversations with friends, the support of my (newly) hubby, and just a whole lot of everything … we are finally finding our stride; true to our passions and with all our strength.
Ever since I can remember, I’ve always wanted to start my own business in order to affect change. There are many struggles in our every day life, but I’d like to do what I can to turn our circumstances into those that are positive. I’ve always felt that I was put on this Earth to spark change and do it with a kind heart, open mind, and in a creative manner. It’s been a journey. It has taken me a couple tries, a lot of self doubt and the support of some really great people to get me here. Aaand let’s not forget the ups and downs that have come within this year. I don’t know about you, but it’s been heavy and even heavier for others.
This year with the ever present pandemic, social injustice (on way too many parties), devastating signs of climate change, lack of order and leadership, and dwindling of self health + wellness has rocked us all and has hit me to the core. I’m a strong believer of morals and ethics and seeing people for who they are rather than first judgement (definitely a 2nd chances kind of gal). With that being said, I am working on building a platform that engages in all these thoughts, feelings and ideas with real people and their experiences; giving support wherever I can. My hope is to create a space where we uplift one another for our differences and allow each of our thoughts, ideas and experiences to touch each other’s hearts in all the best of ways. There is so much beauty that comes from within our differences. Together, let’s create a new reality; a perspective where we unapologetically come as we are and let our voices be heard and known. A space where we can individually shine and make a stand in solidarity.
I end with this last statement — We must learn to be jentle with not only ourselves, but with each other and make our mark to prove that this land is greater than its past (and present) and that we can stand together in support for one another and create real change.
When one door closes, another door opens. I’m so excited to see where this journey will take us and I hope you’ll join us for the ride.
Here is to voices being heard, safe spaces to be made, conscious consumers and a community that is always learning, growing and giving support.
