Mark the Moment: Celebrating International Women’s Day in the Lehigh Valley

This year, something special happened in Nazareth, Pennsylvania.

On March 7, women from across the Lehigh Valley gathered for Mark the Moment, an immersive celebration created to honor International Women’s Day through connection, creativity, and community. A day rooted in recognizing the social, economic, cultural, and personal achievements of women became something you could feel in real time. What began as a simple idea, a feeling that women deserve more spaces to gather freely and authentically, turned into an evening filled with laughter, music, conversation, and meaningful moments.

Hosted by Jentle Land Mark, Mark the Moment was designed as a space where women could step away from expectations and simply enjoy being together. And that is exactly what unfolded.

A Celebration of Women, Connection, and Community

From the moment guests arrived, the energy in the room began to build. Some came with friends, others came solo, but by the end of the evening it was clear that everyone had found connection.

International Women’s Day is often celebrated in words, but this evening brought it to life in action. It was reflected in the way women showed up for themselves, in the openness to meet someone new, and in the willingness to celebrate one another without comparison.

Throughout the night, guests enjoyed:

What made the evening especially powerful was the way strangers quickly became acquaintances, and acquaintances quickly became friends. Conversations flowed, laughter echoed through the space, and the room filled with the unmistakable feeling of women uplifting one another.

In a world that can often encourage comparison or isolation, this was a reminder of something deeper. When women are given space to gather intentionally, they naturally create support, encouragement, and belonging.

Supporting Community Through the Play-to-Win Raffle

While the evening centered celebration, it also carried a deeper purpose.

International Women’s Day is not only about honoring progress, but also about recognizing the ongoing challenges many women and families continue to face. With that in mind, guests participated in a Play-to-Win raffle featuring curated gift baskets, with all proceeds supporting immigrant families impacted by ICE through the ALMA Program.

The ALMA Program provides rapid, dignified support for families navigating immigration emergencies through direct financial assistance, financial services, and community resources. By the end of the evening, the community raised over $200 to contribute toward this important work.

Moments like these are a reminder that celebrating women also means showing up for one another in tangible ways. When community gathers with intention, even small actions can create meaningful impact.

A Night Powered by Women and Local Businesses

Mark the Moment also highlighted the creativity, resilience, and vision of local women-owned businesses and entrepreneurs throughout the Lehigh Valley.

International Women’s Day is, at its core, about recognizing the contributions of women in every space, including business, creativity, and leadership. This event created an opportunity to not only celebrate those contributions, but to actively support them.

Vendors, partners, and sponsors helped bring the evening to life through experiences, products, and support that made the event feel both personal and joyful. From handcrafted details to interactive experiences, the evening reflected the strength and creativity of women building businesses in the community.

Supporting women-owned businesses was not just an intention, it was a reflection of the larger mission behind the day itself.

A Beautiful Turnout for the First Annual Celebration

One of the most powerful parts of the evening was simply seeing the room come to life.

More than 30 women attended the event, exceeding expectations and proving just how much desire there is for intentional, welcoming spaces like this in the Lehigh Valley.

Guests danced, played games, explored vendor experiences, participated in the raffle, and most importantly, connected with one another in authentic ways.

For many attendees, the night served as a reminder that community still matters deeply, and that shared moments of joy can be incredibly powerful.

It also served as a reminder of what International Women’s Day can truly look like, not just a date on the calendar, but a lived experience of connection, celebration, and support.

Looking Ahead: This Is Only the Beginning

Mark the Moment was created with the hope that it would become an annual International Women’s Day tradition in the Lehigh Valley. After witnessing the connections, conversations, and joy that unfolded throughout the evening, it is clear that the desire for spaces like this is very real.

Events like this remind us that when women gather intentionally, something special happens. Ideas spark. Friendships form. Support grows.

Most importantly, we are reminded that we do not have to navigate life alone.

As Jentle Land Mark continues to grow its mission of supporting mindful, intentional living and community connection, this celebration will remain a meaningful milestone.

Because honoring women should never be limited to a single day. It is something we carry forward in how we show up, how we support one another, and how we create space for connection all year long.

And if this first year was any indication, the future is bright.

Because this was not just an event.

It was a moment.

And we marked it together. ✨
